ORIGIN & TERROIR
Product from coffee cultivation
This cascara comes from the Las Lajas farm, located at 1500 meters above sea level in the San José region of Costa Rica. Made from 100% Arabica Caturra and Catuai varieties, it is obtained after the depulping of coffee cherries, then carefully dried using a natural process to preserve all the richness of its aromas.
Rich in antioxidants, it offers a light and expressive cup, with notes of watermelon, red currant, and hibiscus. Its fruity and delicately tangy profile can be enjoyed both hot and iced, for a refreshing and surprising experience.
Still relatively unknown in Europe, where its commercialization has only been allowed since June 2021, it offers a new approach to coffee, blending tradition and innovation. The valorization of this co-product allows producers to diversify their income while promoting more regular activity on farms, thus contributing to a more sustainable supply chain.
A gourmet and responsible discovery, looking towards the future of coffee.
